Attention please: some members are seeing a message similar to this when attempting to use the view/download buttons for the magazine pdfs: "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it."We recently had to change the security settings on our web server to prevent unauthorized access, so only logged-in Members are able to use our issue view/download buttons.
If you see this message it likely means that you need to refresh your device's cache so it can read the newest version of our site.
If this error continues, it means that your device is trying to open the issue in an "incognito" or "private" window. This will not allow you to open it, as only logged-in members can use the links.
On a Mac computer, hold the Control key and then click the "Full PDF' or "Print-Friendly" button, and choose "Open Link in New Tab". Windows computers would use the right click on one of those buttons. Mobile devices vary, you can do a google search to learn more about your particular device.
If you still have trouble, providing a complete screen shot of exactly what the error looks like would help our tech guy look into this further for you!
Or you can use the information to add it to your Ravelry library and open it from there. You can always contact us and we can send any issue you are having trouble opening directly to your Ravelry library- just ask!
MEMBERS and SUBSCRIBERS, PLEASE REMEMBER: on the 1st of the month when the new issue of Happily Hooked is released, and again on the 15th of the month when the new issue of Pattern Pack Pro is released, our Members Site experiences an ENORMOUS amount of traffic which causes tech glitches, pile-ups, and slow-downs.
If you have trouble logging in on those days, PLEASE check back the next day.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE, UNDERSTANDING, AND KINDNESS!
Login trouble at other times can be caused by a number of things:
Entering passwords incorrectly:
Passwords are case sensitive and must be entered exactly.
Need your password sent again?
And PLEASE be sure to check your spam folder if you don't see that automated message in your inbox!
(Some email providers only show your spam if you login to the WEBMAIL site!)
Using the wrong email address:
We know, we have dozens of them too and forget which one does what!
Or you may have made a typo on the order form, we've done that too.
Just give us your full name and any alternate email addresses you might have used and we can track down your subscription.
Your subscription may have expired:
Access to the Members Site is for current subscribers and Lifetime Members only!
Restarting your subscription will get you access to everything that was previously in your account.
You might need to FORCE REFRESH to see new items in your account:
If you aren't finding the newest addition to your Issue Library yet, your device is likely still reading the older version stored in your cache memory.
To fix that, you need to “force refresh” your web browser to make it re-check the server to get the newest version. Hit the control (Ctrl) and F5 keys at the same time, or if you are using a Mac, use the Cmd and R keys. iPads and iPhones need to be turned off completely, then turned back on.
This process may need to be repeated with each new addition to your Issue Library. That’s because it’s a function of that cache memory of your device, not our website!
